This small agriturismo, an oasis of peace and relaxation, is located in the Tuscan mountains near Arezzo in a wonderfully wild and romantic setting. Surrounded by meadows, fruit trees, olive groves and woods, Casa Bivignano is situated at 730 metres above sea level. Our house is a restored 17th century farmhouse: a cosy, typical Tuscan residence with 2 apartments, a studio and a corner room. The main house is occupied by the owners, the neighbouring wing is reserved for guests.
Our pergola
Our pergola with barbecue area, pizza oven and rustic seating is located next to the main house and awaits hungry guests.
This is where we like to sit together in the evenings over an aperitif and great conversation, and those who wish can enjoy a Tuscan 4-course dinner with us. Culinary insider tip!
Guests in rooms without a kitchen will find a small fridge here to prepare breakfast.
Our pool
Our swimming pool is 4x9 metres and is located a little above the main house. The pool offers a panoramic view of the wild Tuscan hills, mountains and our olive grove. Deck chairs and many trees invite you to relax, the - unsupervised - pool is filled with our own spring water, wonderfully refreshing and normally in operation from May to the end of October. Normal summer pool temperature between 25° and 27°, so don't worry, despite the spring water....
Flats & Rooms
Our guests can choose between 2 flats with kitchen and 2 rooms. All of them have their own bathroom and an outdoor seating area. You can spend a relaxing time out here in romantic Tuscan style. After riding, guests like to retire for a siesta. The rooms remain pleasantly cool in summer.
Casa Bivignano has 20 hectares of land, countless olive and fruit trees, large pastures for the horses and a lot of forest. Every season has its charm - whether it is the romantic autumn weeks, when the colours glow splendidly and mushroom pickers and hunters are on the prowl. Or the hot dry summer, which is much more bearable here on the hill than in the city, not to mention the velvety nights and pleasant company with culinary highlights and fine vino. Or in spring, when everything is in bloom and nature slowly and joyfully comes back to life. Even the sometimes harsh winter is beautiful in its own way, especially when you can enjoy the cosy evenings in front of the fireplace...
Chiesa di Bivignano
The Chiesa di Bivignano, 500 metres away, is also steeped in history. It belonged to the nobility several hundred years ago and today serves as a place to stay for hunters.
Small hamlets and villages with a friendly population are in the immediate vicinity. The area is not much developed for tourism and is very charming.
